Hair Tip #5

Steam is great for conditioning treatments.

  • Steaming is a gentle way to deep condition your hair, especially if it is suffering from hygral fatigue. When hair is wet it swells and when it dries it shrinks. Too much of this back and forth can lead to damage called hygral fatigue.
  • Steam gently opens up the cuticles and allows moisture to penetrate so that the hair is nourished and strengthened. This helps with breakage and promotes elasticity.
  • In your shower or sauna, use a heating cap from any beauty supply or the Kimble Beauty Shower Cap, which can act as a thermal active heating cap due to the special lining, if no dryer is available.
